How To: Configure Proxy Settings GMetrixSMS v5

To set up the GMetrix SMS software in a proxy environment, you will need to be familiar with the following Options screen. To access this screen, click on the "Options" tile on the GMetrix SMS v5 Login page.
 
          

To configure the Proxy Settings, tick "Use Proxy" slider and then enter the IP address and Port of your Proxy server.
If your proxy server requires authentication, check the "Authentication" slider, and then enter your authentication details.

Click Save to save the changes, and return to the Login page.

Name Resolution

If whitelisting communications to GMetrix, please use either *.gmetrix.net or the following:
 
  • www.gmetrix.net
  • ws.gmetrix.net
  • www2.gmetrix.net (for patching/updates)
  • docs.gmetrix.net

Potential Problems and Errors

As of version 5, (for previous versions see - http://support.prodigylearning.com/customer/portal/articles/1295033) all settings are saved in the Common App Data folder. Once the proxy information is entered and working, the settings will be shared with all users on the computer.

The Proxy file settings are saved in the Common App Data folder. this is a hidden folder by default, located in "C:\ProgramData\GMetrix\Configuration"
